[Fixed in dev] Loud clicks at end of wav files after updating to newest firmware

Hello.

@bradholland

I just updated to the newest firmware and now a majority of the sounds I have loaded have a loud click at the end. Not all but quite a few. I found the original wav files for some of the sounds and they sound normal so I tried replacing the current wav with the original wav file and the click is still present. Has anyone else run into this issue? I can make a video and post it if necessary. Any input is appreciated because as of right now a majority of the projects I’ve loaded since updating the firmware are full of clicking that wasn’t present before the update.

Sure video helps.
Also, send us the project zip in a support ticket if you can.
Don’t forget, you can downgrade again if it’s blocking you right now

I just reinstalled the previous firmware and all my projects are back to normal. No clicking. I’ll send the project zip shortly and try to put together a video soon.

Reproduced here.
There’s a simple workaround for now @mattmars1(until proper fix). Disable Loop on your samples. The project you sent Brad had Loop enabled but set to loop zero times, so effectively aren’t looping anyway. The click only happens on non-gated looped samples.

Hello.

Thank you for the feedback. I just reinstalled the newest firmware and followed your instructions. Turning the looping off did eliminate the clicking when you press the individual pads but when you press run the clicks are present again. I just sent a video of the issue with my support ticket.

Was instructed in my support ticket to use the A button/Playback Override and rewrite the pattern information and clicks are now gone. It’s going to be a tedious process to track down every wav file that is set to loop but it works. I’m not sure why but a lot of my samples load up with the loop already set to on. I didn’t intentionally set any of them to loop and haven’t had or noticed an issue until this newest firmware update. Currently going threw my drum kits and turning loop off on any sample that has it on and resaving the kits to avoid this in future projects.

Thank you for the assistance

There will be another update soon that fixes it. The workaround is to keep you going till then.

Hi All! I’ve the same problem, even after updating the latest firmware (130726). Loop desactivated, end to zero cross, short release enveloppe, same issue : audible click at the end of the samples when i press a pad, but no audible clicks when you play a programmed sequence…really strange. Anybody experiencing this?? Thanks in advance  Matthieu

Samples loading loop info in the file is baked into the firmware.

I think it’s stupid behaviour because it’s really not a multi sample sampler and you usually don’t need one shots to loop by default.

Perhaps this should simply be removed to make life easier for what I think is most of us.

Please send us a project that shows this. Either upload here, or send us a support request and attach a ZIP.

I’m having same issue- but… every pad that has a sample does the click even when I mute the channel on my console that has a click the noise still comes out of all other channels. I went back and reinstalled old firmware and same issue. I really hope this gets figured out as it makes the machine unusable for professional use.

Please, please can you send us a project that demonstrates it? Until somebody does, it won’t get fixed!

If this is fixed in dev, is it possible to put a firmware update out please. I can’t use either of the recent (2026) FW upgrades due to this issue, had to roll back to 2025. Very keen to get going on the new Beta.

The fix is up. Let us know if it’s working for you. S2400 BETA Firmware Aug 2026
