The Select knob on my S2400 need some clicks till it reacts.. what to do?

Loosen your grub screw a little.
Slide your knob up the shaft about 1mm
Tighten your knob again.
The click on your knob should feel really nice and positive now and you can invite others to have a feel of your knob and they will probably tell their friends how nice your knob is too.
My knob is lovely, very smooth and clicky.
However my wife says nobody else is allowed to touch it, so you’ll just have to take my word for it.

ever since i got the s2400 my knob has been stiff but im used to it now.
