So I was hoping the S2400 could replace my MPC3000 sequencer, sadly it hasn’t and this is not a knock to the S2400 it’s just that after using a 3000 for over 20 year my sound, or in this case feel, is embedded in that machine. Not to worry though I have simply relegated the S2400 to it’s main role as the hub for all my editing and sounds and at this it excels.
So over the last month or so I have gotten into a groove working on the MPC3000 and S2400 everyday and making 2-3 projects per day, and yesterday started to load in my earlier projects to have another listen, sadly they were all over the place with the sequencers not triggering the correct sounds. I later found out that the S2400 doesn’t save the sample maps to midi when saving a project and that has to be done via a second function in the sync menu. I spent a day working out what the correct mapping was and had some of the last few project salvaged but wrote a lot of the earlier ones off as it just became a nightmare.
So now each time I do a project I have to remember to go to the sync page and save sample tracks map into the saved project.
My request would be a global setting that can be used to save all these important setting with one single save instead or have to save two different aspects for just one project.
I mean I really can’t be the only one out there using the S2400 as a standalone sampler?
