Tracking Over USB Logic Pro x 12.0 issues - Latest S2400 firmware

Hi,

Ive created a 8 bar loop on Bank A using all eight pads, i have the S2400 synced via midi in form logics clock and its tight with the metronome - Track set at 120bpm

I’m trying to track the 8 pads out over USB, Ive created 8 audio tracks inside logic a set them to separate inputs 1-8, and set et logics audio I/O to the S2400.

When i arm the tracks in logic at hit record it records all the pads on input 1 & 2 only, not on separate inputs, nothing on inputs 3-8. Also the timing of the audio recording drifts all over between 117 & 120bpm and stutters.

Has anyone achieved this in logic,

Thanks in advance

Yes, I have the ± 0.5-1 bpm jumps. However, it doesn’t bother me much because I don’t create any songs directly within the machine; instead, I generate sequences that I later rearrange in Logic Pro.

Hi,

that’s what im trying to achieve, how are you tracking the pads out into logic..I’ve tried over USB tracking but its all over the place and very unstable ?

Thanks…

Hi, I don’t use USB for everything. Here’s how my setup works: The S2400 sync is set to MIDI, and it’s connected to my Mac via CME C2MIDI Pro. Each output from the S2400 is sent to my interface’s inputs, which are then connected to my Mac. I normally record all 8 outs, with no big bpm jumps.

I hope that explains it clearly!
