Changes
ASYX v1.27
MIDI and Mix mode
- Fixed MIDI routing so DAWs can address all 16 Mix parts.
- New Mixes now start with all 16 parts enabled, assigned to MIDI channels 1–16.
- MIDI Learn assignments are remembered across launches and shared between standalone and plug-in instances. You can switch controllers without having to learn them again.
- Added MIDI Learn support for the ribbon controller.
- Factory arpeggio patches now play in standalone without an external clock when using the default clock setting. Explicit external-clock mode still waits for MIDI clock.
Interface
- The editor remembers its window size and whether the ribbon is open.
- Restored the full-width ribbon, which opens underneath the main GUI, with smoother opening and closing transitions.
- Startup credits no longer repeat when reopening an existing plug-in instance.
- Improved Windows interface startup when using different display-scaling settings.
- Added clearer startup error messages to help diagnose problems.
DAW compatibility
- Fixed plug-in loading and editor startup in Cakewalk Sonar.
- Fixed Audio Unit validation failures in MOTU hosts.
- Improved reliability when loading projects and restoring saved plug-in settings.
- Expanded AU and VST3 compatibility checks.
Installation
- The Mac installer no longer requires you to close your DAW. Reload ASYX or restart your host when you’re ready to use the update.
- Windows setup now offers Retry if a file is in use, rather than requiring you to restart the installer.
- Made cleanup of older installations more forgiving.
Known limitation: Windows resizing has been improved, but some hosts can still leave empty space around the interface when the window’s proportions change.
